Do you think we could one day have chill speedcore?
Every electronic music genre has a chill subgenre : Dubstep/Chillstep, House/Deep or Chill House, Trap/Chill Trap, Trance/Dream Trance, techno/Minimal...
This doesn't corresônd to Melodic. However it would be close. Probably a non-distorded kick but still at a very high BPM. I experimented this but came to nothing much interesting. What about you?

Very unlikely. Speedcore music branches from hardcore music. Hardcore is pretty much the anti-genre of Chill. Like Hardcore Punk is rough and tough. Chill would be calm. Really creating something like that would be like it's own genre, In my opinion.

But in all seriousness, I think extratone is the only speedcore sub-genre that I think could be 'chill'. It's so fast that it doesn't seem fast, and can make some fairly ambient moods.

That's smart! It's true that I know a lot of extratone pieces that are similar to drone. These genres are close IMO. but by chill I meant an acoustic kick at something like 400 BPM, with female vocals and for the rest it's close to Melodic.
Now you're right could it be called hardcore or speedcore anymore?

That's a great idea to start a new genre with this goal! What would you think of this fairly "odd and old" project: Flashcore + classical melodies?
